About DSS
This was formerly known as the State Security Service (SSS), It can be traced back to the precolonial era. It was first birthed in 1948 and established under the watch of the Nigerian Police Force. After the coup, the body was changed to NSO ( Nigerian Security Organization and then to NSA (National Security Agencies) in 1986. Three establishments were created: the SSS, DIS, and the NIA to nurture, preserve, and protect the country’s democratic system of government.
The official role of this body includes
- Prevent and detect crime that is being committed against the internal security of the country
- Protect and preserve the nonmilitary classified mater related to the security of the nation Nigeria
- Prevent, detect, and investigate threats, subversions, sabotage, economic crimes, etc, and threats to law and order
- Provide security to different government parastatals and visitor
- Advice to the government on matters concerning National Security
- Any other immediate functions assigned when necessary
DSS Shortlisted Candidates
This is a list that contains names of candidates who have applied for a position in the DSS and have been shortlisted to go into the next phase of recruitment.
The list is usually released by the management of the DSS recruitment Team. Only candidates who have been successfully selected will see their names.
Often candidates who have been selected will receive a notification at the Valid email address provided a sat the time of application/registration. On the other hand, most candidates get a notice directly from the contact they added during registration.
