The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination as of today have started releasing results for the just concluded JAMB examination 2023 so candidates who sat for the just concluded 2023 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination can proceed to the JAMB portal to check their result.

Applicants should note that there are procedures to follow before JAMB finally gives an offer of admission.

See the procedures below:

  • Immediately the JAMB result is released online on the JAMB’s portal, Jamb sends candidates scores to the various institutions they candidate applied for during the registration process
  • Institutions will then decide their departmental cut off mark from the number of candidates sent to them from JAMB

  • Post- UTME Screening Exercise: All institutions who want to conduct a post Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will invite their candidates to pick up the aptitude test forms at the school’s premises or online depending on how the Institution wants it.
  • Applicants are advice to purchase Post- UTME forms from the other institutions they added during their registration as their second and third choice
  • After the post UTME exam, Institutions start releasing the results in batches and once that is done, expect the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB to start uploading the admission list for successful candidates.

JAMB News on Result

Like we stated earlier in this article, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board Examination, Jamb has released results for the just concluded JAMB examination which took place between April 25th and May 1st, 2023

According to a statement made, Jamb stated that about 1,595,779 jambites registered for the exam across the 708 CBT test centers in about 105 towns nationwide. JAMB points out that the result does not include candidates who rescheduled to take their computer based test on May 6, those who were absent from the exam and the visually impaired candidates all of whom results are being carefully processed..

Candidates should send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same number they used during the JAMB registration process. Candidates who were absent or who rescheduled their exam date will get responses like this “ You were absent’ or You Reschedule your exam” but candidates who do not fall into any of those categories will have a response as to whether they have been offered admission yet or not.

Innoson Group withdraws scholarship offered to Mmesoma Ejikeme over JAMB Result forgery

According to the current report, Innoson Group, a leading automobile company in Nigeria who earlier stated its support for Mmesoma who was initially said to be wrongly accused for forging her JAMB score and tweaking it to be higher than the initial score she had obtained earlier has withdrawn the scholarship offer they made to her after she had publicly confessed that she actually forged her JAMB result.

According to a report made, the Innoson Group’s head of corporate communications, Mr. Cornel Osigwe  pointed that the company found it so difficult to withdraw the scholarship awarded to mmesoma initially but based on the findings and the affirmation that she actually forged her result, the company didn’t have a choice than to withdraw the scholarship offer.

The statement which was quoted in part said thus the confirmation and final conclusion about mmesoma’s result forgery is very disappointing and it stands as a contradiction against our values hold so dearly at Innoson Group, therefore in line with our core values and as a testament to our commitment to transparency, honesty and integrity, we have decided to withdraw the scholarship earlier offered to Mmesoms Ejikeme hence.

Miss Ejikeme admits that her UTME score was 249 and not 362 as she had claimed

Currently mmesoma ejikeme who was initially said to have forged her JAMB results by JAMB of which she denied and the whole nation was thrown into a state of confusion as to how a 19 year old child could possibly do that. This made a lot of people take interest in the case and promised to follow it up to the end. She admitted that after everything, she was able to see that she scores 249 instead of 362
