FRC Recruitment 2023 Requirements 

As I mentioned earlier, FRC recruitment for 2023 has not officially begun. Once it begins, we’ll do well to update the requirements for each job vacancy, but for now, the following are the general criteria you should be aware of:

  • Prospective candidates must be bonafide Nigerians by birth with a legal, valid means of identification like National ID card or international passport.
  • Intended persons must have either WAEC/GCE/NEC or NABTEB with at least five (5) credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Candidates with a diploma, HND, B.Sc., or Masters’ degree in related fields can submit an application.
  • Applicants should possess a good work ethic and team spirit.
  • Interested applicants must be analytical, ready to adapt to a new working environment, and competent.
  • Candidates with excellent computer knowledge have an added advantage.
  • Applicants should possess the ability to pay adequate attention to details.
  • Applicants with reasonable working experience of at least 3 years have an added advantage.

FRC Recruitment Process

The next important thing you should observe is the FRC recruitment process, as it will help you prepare better for the next phase of recruitment.

The FRC recruitment process has four (4) stages, which are; (a) the application stage; (b) the shortlisting stage; (c) aptitude test screening; and (d) the appointment stage.

Let’s check these processes one after the other:

Stage 1: Application Stage

This is the first stage in the Fiscal Responsibility Commission recruitment process, in which an official advertisement is made by the commission and interested qualified applicants are to access and submit an application form for vacant positions of their choice via the FRC career portal.

Usually, the application exercise might last between three (3) weeks and one (1) month, depending on the FRC deadline.

Stage 2: Shortlisting Stage 

In this second stage, the names of successful candidates from the application stage will be compiled and published online. Note that successful candidates here simply mean those who meet the job requirements.

Stage 3: Aptitude Test Screening

This is where shortlisted applicants or candidates are then put through a computer-based test screening; the purpose of this is to test if they have the ability for the task ahead. An invitation to this screening is usually sent via email or SMS from the FRC  to shortlisted applicants.

Stage 4: Appointment

This is the final stage where, after the completion of this screening exercise, successful candidates or applicants who excel at the screening level will be offered an appointment letter.
